Wow. Wordpress 2.5, huh? I’ll start by saying that this upgrade already has me wanting to stay with Wordpress for quite sometime. Previously, I’d been looking to switch over to a new backend (or even rolling my own completely), but from what I’m seeing in the 3 minutes I’ve been looking at this, I’m a happy lark again.

I don’t have much to say about this yet, so I’ll keep it brief.

  • I absolutely love the new admin interface. This thing has been needing an update for too long.  
  • It seems much quicker, admin interface and the public facing site in general. Being on a shared host, I don’t get the same performance as some dedicated-hosted sites might. At least for now, it seems faster.
  • Did I say I love the new admin interface?
I don’t really have anything else to post right now, but I knew I wanted to post something to play with the upgrade. If I find anything else cool in here I like, I’ll be sure to let you know.
UPDATE: Ooh, ooh, ooh. I didn’t even think of that. Before this upgrade, there was an error in my install that I never got around to fixing that caused all line breaks and formatting to be lost when I posted. I’d been using a desktop client to get around that.  It’s fixed now. Yay.
