We’ll be back.
I’ll have the site back to normal later on today. My host moved me to a new server, and something completely exploded in this WordPress installation. That, and now that I’m running on a new version of Debian a few of the things I’ve custom complied need to be re-compiled.
Long story short: This place will start looking normal again soon.

So, after a short time (a very short time), I’ve moved the domain back to wordpress. It really never left, I just had changed a symlink around. I like the speed of movable type, but something just didn’t feel right with it to me. Maybe it was all these years with wp. Who knows? Regardless, wordpress is back here again. Probably for good. Unless I write my own. Which is also very possible.

Posting
One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to blog more. Here we are, 20 days into it, and I’ve not done anything yet. Today, we get on track. The blog is for discussion and actual articles. I’ve added some links to recent entries on my Tumblr on the right sidebar. These are items or entries I think are important enough to document, but not big enough for a blog post and discussions. Here is how the flow of information goes:
Follow me on Friendfeed or Twitter (I’m leeadkins on both) if you like to be at the pulse of things I do. Things I Digg, comments I make on other services, etc.
Follow me on my Tumblr (tumblr.thisislee.com) if you like a more eclectic mix of content, but would rather not hear of my every move online. You’ll get photos I’ve found, videos I’ve liked, and other items I’ve deemed unique enough to take the time and permanently document in my web history. This, for most, is the best way to follow me.
Finally, you can simply visit me here and see any actual posts I make (which could be few and far in between) and look over the daily summaries that the other services I mentioned above.
Hopefully, all the services at my disposal will all fall into their useful places as I use them more.
What’s going on?
You may or may not know this, but we’ll be going on vacation for a week or so in Florida tomorrow. I’ve been spending a lot of my time reviving a dead property of mine to help with the occasion: Ravsonic.TV. As I once dreamed it to be, Ravsonic.TV is now home to all the Tweets I send, Brightkite locations I tag, videos (both with my HD cam and live from my mobile phone) I shoot, photos I take, and Ustream shows I put on. This is perfect for the trip, because it is essentially going to automatically archive out entire trip so we’ll have it to go back to and look at. That, my friends, is why I haven’t been doing too much here lately.
In the process of building that site, I think I may have inadvertently included a lot of ideas and features I planned on implementing here. I’ll be spending the next week or so working out in my mind what things to let the other site have and what things should be reserved here. At that point, a redesign will be called for. I have no doubt that both sites will be able to coexist, it is just going to be a little weird figuring out what goes where.
Maybe Ravsonic.TV is the place for media, both live and archived, and lifestreams, whereas ThisIsLee could be just that: me. A type of online biography, and blog posts that express beliefs or knowledge. While the TV site will have blog posts here and there, it will mostly be automatically updated as I live my life, and ThisIsLee will (eventually) get normal writing attention. Who knows. I guess I’ll be figuring that out in the next few weeks.
Anyway, I’m really happy so far with what is coming out of Ravsonic.TV. If you want, you are more than welcome to check it out this week (and beyond!) to see how things work out.

Welcome to my new home!
Well, I’ve got to say. This is by far the quickest realization of a plan that I’ve every completed. No, the design isn’t totally mine, but it gives a great starting point. If nothing else, the site is actually up and running. With a good layout. And the features I want. Word. I mean shit, look how long Ravsonic.tv has looked like hell (that is my next priority. I’ve GOT to get going on that). So, as I mentioned before, this will be the new home for randomness. I post random stuff you don’t care about, but you read it anyway. Enjoy people.
